Young Investigator Abstract Submission
Symposium Pathophysiology in Cardiometabolic Diseases
The Organizing Committee invites Young Investigators (PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career scientists within five years of PhD completion) to submit original research abstracts for oral or poster presentation. This call aims to promote emerging researchers working in translational cardiometabolic science, integrating mechanistic and clinical perspectives.
Abstract submission will be open until 23:59h May 15th.

· Abstract Format Requirements
Abstracts in English or Spanish will be accepted.

Size: 12 pt
Maximum length: 250 words
Names: surname, name;….
The title, names and institution are excluded from the word count.
A structured format is required, including the following sections:
Introduction
Methods
Results
Conclusion
· Scientific Thematic Areas
Abstracts must align with one of the following scientific areas:
(All within the context of cardiometabolic diseases.)
Redox signaling, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction
Therapeutic strategies
Microbiome and nutrition
Exercise physiology and metabolic health
Immunometabolism
Presentation Format
Selected abstracts will be assigned to poster presentations or to oral presentations consisting of 8 minutes presentation + 2 minutes discussion. The Scientific Committee will determine the final presentation format based on evaluation criteria.
Young Investigator Award
All accepted submissions will automatically be considered for the Young Investigator Award in Cardiometabolic Pathophysiology. Evaluation criteria includes scientific originality, methodological rigor, translational relevance, and clarity of presentation.
